BREED REGISTERS
The National Golden Retriever Council recognises all genuine efforts to eliminate inherited disease in the hips, elbows, eyes and heart. In order to understand the nature and impact of inherited disease in the golden retriever, NGRC member clubs voted to establish a National Data Collection in 1997-98. The Register link below is the result of this data collection.

The information contained in the Hip/Elbow register is the property of the NGRC and is for private use only. Copying or otherwise circulating the information in any way without the permission of the NGRC is prohibited.
The National Golden Retriever Council is currently seeking consent to publish retrospective grade results for golden retrievers as collected in various forms by its member clubs before/since 1997. Once the information is available, it will be published on this web site. In the meantime, results of screening for hip and elbow dysplasia are regularly submitted, with the owner's consent, to the NGRC by Dr RS Wyburn. The AVA panelists and Dr Graeme Allan are to be asked to submit their results.
Golden Retriever Progeny Tests for Hip Scores - collected by Dr Malcolm Willis (UK)
Golden Retriever breeders will be aware of Dr Willis's pioneering work in compiling Progeny Test Tables for the breed in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand over many years. Following his retirement, the Australia National Kennel Council acquired Dr Willis's data collection and is currently working on analysis and publication of the results. In the meantime, recent information compiled through the work of University of Sydney and Dr Karen Hedberg can be viewed via the link below:
